  - Applications: Used in larger industrial facilities, utility power distribution networks, and large commercial infrastructures where medium voltage distribution is necessary. It is also common in substations that step down high voltage (HV) power for local distribution.

- Size and Complexity: MV switchgear is larger, more complex, and often incorporates more advanced insulation and safety mechanisms due to the higher voltages involved.
