3. Pushing the Button: When you press the button of the switch, it compresses the spring mechanism. This force brings the metal contacts together, closing the circuit.


4. Electrical Flow: With the contacts touching, electricity can flow through the switch, allowing whatever device or circuit it's a part of to operate.


5. Release: When you release the button, the spring mechanism pushes the contacts apart again, breaking the circuit and stopping the flow of electricity.


Push button switches are commonly used in a variety of applications, from controlling lights and appliances to triggering electronic devices or machinery. They're favored for their simplicity, reliability, and ease of use.
